Delivered by KJ Woods under a $5.1M contract, this 754-calendar day project installs three large trash capture systems to intercept debris from stormwater outfalls before it enters San Francisco Bay. The project enhances water quality, supports regulatory compliance, and strengthens environmental stewardship while maintaining operational functionality of existing drainage infrastructure.

Scope of work includes site preparation, demolition, structural modifications to outfall structures, installation of prefabricated capture units, integration with existing stormwater systems, and associated concrete, structural steel, and corrosion-resistant components. Ancillary work includes site improvements, utility coordination, site restoration, and commissioning for ongoing operations and maintenance. Ghirardelli is providing Construction Inspection services on this project.
