I-605 South Street is located in the City of Cerritos and the project improves capacity and traffic flow at one of the busiest off ramps along the 605 corridor. The off ramp widening includes a 20-foot tall CIP retaining wall with architectural details, JPCP roadway paving, drainage improvements, electrical system upgrades, traffic signal enhancements, landscaping and irrigation, freeway traffic control, and elevated sign poles. Ghirardelli is providing construction management services. Our Resident Engineers are responsible for the successful administration of the contract. They regularly communicate with the contractor regarding construction technique and changes where necessary, they enforce safety and quality requirements, and they coordinate construction activities with necessary personnel including 3rd parties as necessary. Ghirardelli also maintains an accurate construction forecast and monitors contractor progress against the approved project master schedule and budget.
