As prime consultant, Ghirardelli has provided construction engineering support services to District 2 through staff augmentation on projects in every corner of the District. The Ghirardelli team provides construction inspectors, construction field material and plant inspectors, construction office engineers, stormwater coordinators, and scheduling experts for various projects. Tasks include day and night inspections in rural and urban areas. Ghirardelli has provided staff to work on projects in Redding, Yreka, Quincy, and Susanville. Projects include:

• 02-3H32U4, Sac Gap Combined Project on I-5 – This construction project is located on Interstate 5 in Siskiyou County in and near Dunsmuir from the Sacramento River Bridge Overhead to the Black Butte Overhead. This project will repair roadway damage and will increase drivability for motorists. This project will also decrease the need for costly repairs and expose maintenance crews to fast-moving traffic.
• 02-1H5204, State Route 3 Yreka Rehab – The Yreka Rehab Project is a much-needed pavement rehabilitation project in the City of Yreka that will bring State Route 3, also known as Main Street, up to current design standards and increase its service life. This project will make for a significantly smoother ride for motorists driving on State Route 3.
• 02-1H58U4, Cromberg Combined Project on State Route 70 – The Cromberg Combined project in Plumas County is on State Route (SR) 70 near Cromberg from 0.2 mile east of Gill Ranch Road to 0.2 mile west of Big Grizzly Creek Bridge. This project aims to reduce the number of distressed lane miles by restoring the roadway to a state where minimal maintenance is required, the ride quality is improved, and the service life of the existing highway will be extended for a minimum of 20 years.
