Information that can identify you
We will always tell you when we are collecting this information. When you use the Contact Tracing app we collect:
For Ghirardelli Employees:
- your Employee Number
- Full Name
- Company Name
- Contact information (you can choose to provide your cell phone number or email address)
For Delivery Vendors:
- no personal identification is recorded
Ghirardelli Associate Employee Only: When an employee answers the questions in the Self-Assessment Questionnaire, a point value is assigned to your answer. At the end of the self-assessment the points are totaled. This is so we can recommend the right outcome for your risk level. Answers to the specific questions are not stored.
Other information we collect
The mobile app is linked to the office location where the self-assessment takes place. This allows use to filter the data based on a location to notify the correct people of a COVID-19 exposure that they may have been in contact with. An employee or visitor will be notified by email or SMS.
Keeping your personal data secure
Your collected data is transmitted between the app and server over a secure SSL connection. The data stored on the server is encrypted at rest. The data is hosted on a server within Amazon AWS datacenter located in the United States. Ghirardelli Associates will keep contact tracing information that we collect for 30 years which is per the current regulations.

We do not share any collected information from the Contact Tracing mobile app.
We may pass on your personal information if we are legally obliged to do so. We will not share your personal information with anyone else without your permission for any other reason.
